Construction- Church to Restaurant. It’s been quite the journey for RendezVous! Michel first bought the church in 2016, with the goal of opening up a second location for his much-loved French restaurant. He wanted something with parking, a large kitchen, and most importantly- the ability to take reservations. We booked Elements Restaurant – The Rendezvous Casino Southend to celebrate my son's birthday. We were quite surprised to find the restaurant is placed within the Casino itself and although not wishing to play the tables ourselves, it was quite interesting to watch others. The menu is not extensive but food was good quality and cooked to taste.

LOCAL LOVE
RendezVous owner, Michel Baudouin, grew up on a 200-year-old farm near Lyon, France.
His mother had a reputation as a great cook; so, he decided he wanted to bring that same
kind of French home cooking to Asheville.
After many years downtown at Bouchon, and after befriending many of the locals, Michel
wanted to give a little something back. So, when the opportunity for another little farm
house-style restaurant came about, he bought a church in Haw Creek. This restaurant is
away from the busyness of downtown, in a quiet neighborhood, where the locals can come
and relax without worrying about parking, or hurrying to beat the crowd.
There are Petanque courts to play on, there will be chickens to take care of, and wonderful
French comfort food to dine on. We hope you enjoy it as much as he does.

Pétanque

It doesn’t get any more French than that! Grab a drink at our outside bar and learn how to play this classic social game. Michel grew up playing after a big Sunday lunch, and now you can too! RendezVous has 8 regulation-sized courts, and you can often find folks from the Carolina Pétanque group or the National Pétanque Association!

Covid-19

RendezVous has taken numerous measures to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. Large partitions have been erected between tables inside to maintain social distance as well as a physical barrier. Guests are required to wear a mask at all times, unless seated at a table.

Rigorous cleaning methods have been employed, and we are following following strict CDC guidelines.
