Poker in San Jose, Costa Rica used to have incredible action, as well as regular medium stakes games. Even though the rake is higher and the action is less, it's still a pretty great spot for a poker vacation, especially if you also take time to tour the beautiful countryside.

I headed to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to check out the poker scene there. I somehow managed to show a profit despite some abysmal luck, but did not much enjoy the trip.
